We are curious blend of technologist/kiter (David) and teacher/artist (Jan) - total opposites who have shared life’s challenges for nearly 30 years. We live & work in England (at present) but like to be in Tarifa as often as possible.

Having travelled to many parts of Europe and around the world, we decided to find a place of our own in the sun. After considering France, Italy and a whole load of other places, we decided to look seriously at Spain.

We initially, started near the French border and gradually worked our way South. We really liiked Barcelona, felt the Costa’s were far too developed and had almost given up when we visited Tarifa on a friend’s recommendation and fell in love with the place.

We viewed lots of properties in and around Tarifa but decided that being right on the beach, in a small development with a great shared pool, was what we wanted (and you too, we expect). After a few delays, in spring 2004, we finally got our ‘Copia Simple’ on our first property - La Tortuga I.
